“Toolkits for Action” have been developed to provide easy access to information you may need to understand and address pressing issues in breastfeeding, birth spacing and birthing practices: 


The "Toolkits for Action" include the following sections:

  • Overview – Introduction, descriptive table of contents and links to the following:

  I.   Background and Research Summary
 II.   Interventions: Projects, Programs and Policies
III.  Tools and Recommendations for Action 
IV.  Additional Resources and Links

Each toolkit is designed for use by a variety of community and public health professionals.  Specific guidelines for use, by type of user, are listed below:     

Clinicians:

You may find resources for supporting parents, or counseling and for teaching purposes.

Researchers:

The toolkit may include new resources and stimulate ideas for future research.

Public Health Workers:

The examples of programs, projects and lessons learned may be used to inform future work.

Community Advocates:

Each toolkit includes new ideas and possible actions to take to change policy and your community.
